UK ETA for Bahraini Citizens
What is a UK ETA for Bahraini Citizens?
The UK ETA became available to Bahraini nationals on February 1, 2024, with the first authorized entries permitted on or after February 22, 2024. It was implemented to simplify travel for Bahraini citizens and encourage more visitors from the Gulf region, enhancing the UK’s appeal as a leading tourist destination.
Starting in February 2024, Bahraini citizens can apply for a UK ETA as an alternative to the UK Electronic Visa Waiver (EVW) scheme. The UK ETA permits stays of up to six months for various short-term purposes, including tourism, visiting family and friends, business, or short-term study.
Bahraini citizens can also apply for a UK ETA to visit the UK for up to three months under the Creative Worker visa concession. Other eligible purposes include attending authorized paid engagements, such as conferences. Additionally, a UK ETA can be granted to travelers transiting through the UK, even if they do not intend to go through border control. It’s important to note that while the UK ETA permits travel to the UK, entry approval will be determined at the border upon arrival.
